Nadine E. Sanders, Ed.D.
Assistant Superintendent

Serving as the Assistant Superintendent of the South Eastern School District is an honor, and I am excited to be part of the team.

Allow me to introduce myself professionally.

My father taught for 39 years; my mother was a registered nurse; and my sister is a physical education teacher at two elementary schools in West Virginia.  I loved learning and teaching and knew I wanted to follow in my family’s footsteps and become an educator.  After graduating from James Buchanan High School, I attended Shippensburg University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a major in elementary education K-6 and a minor in reading.  I was honored to have been able to teach in both districts where I did my student teaching, Chambersburg Area School District and Greencastle-Antrim School District.  I taught English at Chambersburg Middle School and Science at Greencastle-Antrim Middle School.  While teaching, I went back to Shippensburg University to earn my Master of Educational Leadership and Policy to obtain my Principal K-12 Certificate.  I then had the privilege of having been hired as an administrator in my home district, Tuscarora School District, where I served as an administrator for thirteen years in the roles of Elementary Principal, Curriculum Director, and Acting Superintendent.   While serving as an administrator, I continued my education at Duquesne University in the Interdisciplinary Doctor of Education and obtained both my Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility and Doctorate.

I am passionate about student learning, leading, and continuous improvement and look forward to working together to support our mission of Providing Progressive Education to Strengthen the Global Community.

I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of you to provide the best possible learning environment and educational experience for the students in South Eastern School District.
