It is with both honor and pride that I serve as the Superintendent of the South Eastern School District.
I began my professional career in education in 1997; teaching for 6 years in Maryland before moving to the Commonwealth in 2003. Upon moving from Maryland, I taught in the Cocalico School District for 3 years before being named an acting elementary principal for the subsequent decade. My final position in the Cocalico School District was an Assistant to the Superintendent for 3 years. In addition to my professional experience, I hold a Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility from Edinboro University (2014), a Doctorate of Education in Administrative Teaching and Learning from Walden University (2013), a Master's Degree in Administration from Towson University (2005), and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Messiah College (1996).
On a personal note, I reside in West Lampeter with my wife and 3 sons. All three boys attend the Lampeter Strasburg School District and are busy with sports, band, academics, and other recreational activities. My wife holds a Ph.D. in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University and she runs a therapy business in Lancaster, PA.
Thank you for this opportunity. It is my sincere goal to work for the betterment of the communities of the South Eastern School District through my commitment to student learning. Proud to be a Ram!
Sincerely,
Nathan P. Van Deusen, Ed.D.
