Substitute Positions  

Thank you for your interest in a substitute position with SESD.  Listed below are links to  forms that need to be completed and returned to the Human Resources Department.  If you have questions, please call 717-382-4843 x6234.  Human Resources is located in the

Substitute Teachers
Our substitute teaching positions are handled through STS  (Substitute Teacher Service).  Contact info for STS: 800-357-SUBS or online:  This link will take you directly to the STS  website.

Support Staff
Substitute support staff includes paraprofessional, office, and custodian positions.  Please complete the information below and return to the Human Resources Department.

Clearances - there are three (3) clearances that you will need to obtain.   

1.  Child Abuse History Clearance. You can create an individual account online:        This link will give you direct access to the PA Child Welfare Portal.  You will need to create an individual account.  The fee is $8.00.
You will receive an email when your record can be reviewed.  Print the record and submit it to the Human Resources Department. 
2.  PA Criminal Record Check.  Apply online: This link will give you direct access to the PA Criminal History website.  To begin the online application click on "Submit a New Record Check."  The fee is $22.00.  In most cases you will receive the results within a few minutes.  Print the results and submit to the Human Resources Department

3.  FBI Fingerprint Clearance.  Applicants must register prior to going to the fingerprint center.  Register at the IdentoGO website: This link will give you direct access to the IdentoGO website.  The website is available 24 hours/day, seven days/week or call 1-844-321-2101 (Monday – Friday, 8:00 A. M. – 6:00 P. M.).  When you register, you must enter the appropriate service code for PDE (PA Department of Education): 1KG6XN.

There is a fee of $22.60 for the fingerprint clearance.  Acceptable payment options are: a credit or debit card, a money order or cashier’s check.  Payment is made at the fingerprint location.  Money orders and cashier’s checks must be made out to Morpho Trust.  Cash and personal checks will NOT be accepted at the fingerprint sites. 

You are required to provide proof of identity at the fingerprint center.  Proof of identity includes items such as a state issued driver’s license, state ID card, passport, etc.   

 When your fingerprints are taken at the fingerprint location, you will be issued a receipt with your UEID (universal Enrollment ID).  This is the number that you must provide to the South Eastern School District’s Human Resources Department (in order for HR to access your FBI clearance online).

Once registered, you can have your fingerprints taken at any of the locations listed on the IdentoGO website.  When registering online, you can view locations on the IdentoGO website:  This link will give you direct access to the IdentoGO FBI fingerprint locations. 

Please read and complete the Arrest/Conviction Form (PDE 6004).pdf  form to ensure you understand your obligation to inform the district if arrests or convictions occur.

When all clearances are obtained please bring the originals to Human Resources.  Also please bring a copy of each clearance.   Human Resources will return the originals to you for your files.

Please bring the documents (three clearances, employment application, and arrest/conviction form) to the Human Resources office located at the address above.  After a contingent employment offer is made there are several other documents that must be completed (including  a TB screen, health record, I-9 employment eligibility form, and payroll forms).
