Safety

South Eastern School District strives to provide the safest possible environment for students and staff.  District and Building level Safety Committees meet on a regular basis to ensure that our safety plans and procedures are being updated and practiced accordingly.  We have also formed a Safety Sub-Committee whose primary focus is Intruder Preparedness Training.  District safety plans/procedures are developed in conjunction with guidelines and recommendations from federal, state and local emergency service agencies and personnel.

Our district has security procedures in place to screen and identify visitors to allow safe entry into our buildings.  School building doors remain locked throughout the day and we are equipped with regularly monitored video surveillance.

The District has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Southern Regional Police Department governing procedures for incidents on school property, at any school sponsored activity, or on a conveyance (i.e. school bus, school van) providing transportation to or from a school or school sponsored activity for April 2018 through July 2018.
